Driver Improvement Course (Classroom $60 and Online Course $60.00)
DMV Required, Court Directed, Voluntary, or Insurance purpose would be the reason for taking the 8-hour driver improvement course. Virginia Driver Improvement Course is appropriate for all licensed drivers who received a ticket in Virginia, an advisory letter from the DMV, or would like to receive up to 5 safe driving points, or to receive a discount on your insurance premium. Students will receive a certificate at the end of their class. We will electronically submit all certificate of completion to the DMV immediately after the class at no additional charge. Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDL) drivers can only take the classroom course.

A new driver-training certificate for ages 18 and older has been created. The Virginia Driver Training Completion Certificate – ADULT WAIVER (DTSD) is issued to adults that successfully complete a driver education course, including the final road skills examination, at a driving school. When certificate is presented at a DMV Customer Service Center, it will waive the 60-day holding period.

Virginia Driver’s Manual Course
If you have failed the learner’s permit or renewal test three times, you are required by the DMV to take this 8-hour course for the opportunity of retaking the test. After successfully completing the course, you will be eligible to take the general knowledge examination for the fourth time and thereafter. The Virginia Driver’s Manual Course will help you learn and understand safe driving practices. If you are learning to drive, this course will give you information you need to study for the knowledge exam.

To complete the Virginia DMV requirements, you must be behind-the-wheel 7-50 minute sessions and observe another driver for 7-50 minute sessions for a total of 14-50 minute sessions of In-Car Education if you are under 18 years old.

Online Driver Education
1 Stop Driving School have partnered with the National Driver Training Institute to provide our students with the online classroom Virginia Teen and Adult Driver Education Course. The program consists of at least 30 hours of instructions and includes components about alcohol safety, drug abuse awareness, aggressive driving, distracted driving, pedestrian and bicycle safety, handicapped parking, fuel-efficient driving practices, motorcycle awareness and organ and tissue donation awareness as required by law.

Escort Vehicle Driver Training Certification (EVDT)
Escort Vehicle Driver Training Certification Course (8- hours) is to enhance the safety of moving over-dimensional loads by highway and to reduce delays and inconveniences to the general flow of traffic. Escort drivers have specific tasks to perform during each phase of the over-dimensional load movement while driving in Virginia.
